The Swedish Supreme Commander, General Micael Bydén, gave a briefing on women's participation in peace and security operations during an event organized by the Canadian Ambassador to Sweden.

The Ambassador of Canada, Jason La Torre, is the chair of the Ambassadors for Gender Equality along with the Ambassador of Argentina, María Clara Biglieri, who serves as co-chair.

With the attendance of 40 ambassadors, it was the first meeting focused on Gender Equality issues and policies.
