Yesterday, we celebrated the National Day commemorating the 207th Anniversary of the May Revolution, at the Official Argentine Residence in the city of Stockholm. The ceremony began with the raising of the national flag, and then the singing of the Argentine National Anthem and the Swedish National Anthem. The Ambassador of the Argentine Republic Mrs. Nélida Contreras de Ecker delivered a speech. Among the guests, there were representatives of the diplomatic corps, accredited defense attaches, Swedish authorities, members of Swedish agencies, institutions and companies, and members of the Argentine community residing in Sweden. The recently built choir of the Argentine Embassy conducted by Ms. Belén Romano had its first performance whose repertoire included an Argentine song "Vidalitá" and a Swedish one "Den blomstertid nu kommer". The guests enjoyed a reception with typical Argentine food and drinks.
